MATSURI - Toronto Japanese Summer Festival 2015

How is everybody? I just recently got the opportunity to go out and visit Matsuri! It's a Japanese Summer Festival held here in Toronto, and it's still fairly new as this was just it's third year running. The purpose of the festival is the exploration of the Japanese, and Japanese-Canadian community, in celebration of Japan, its culture, art, and cuisine. I went with a group of friends for the first time and despite it being a suuuuper hot day, got to see and try a lot of different things! Here is my OOTD:

My friends and I visited a bunch of the food stands and had a fun time trying out different things!

Woman, men and children alike wore a plethora of various yukatas, and it was inspiring to see people from a variety of backgrounds and age groups participating in the activities. The amount of people who showed up made it also kind of hectic and hard to move around. I did manage to get a lot of photos for you guys though, so I hope you enjoy!

What's your favourite outfit? My favourite were these girls, they co-ordinated their pastel looks perfectly together!! It must be fun being able to dress up with a friend; maybe I will next year! And of course, here are some of the lolitas spotted umong the crowds!

There were a lot of activities around, and the performances that they put together were fun to watch!

Hope you guys liked the pictures!! Let me know what you guys think on the festival! If you happen to ever visit Toronto, I think it's definitely something worth checking out! See you in my next post~

    1. Super loud! They also incorporated various dancing/arm movements which made it visually appealing to watch as well, along with listening. I wish I could have filmed it~!

  4. Matsuri was a really nice even! I wish they had more japanese things asides from food vendors to show what Japan has to offer, But they did have information booths and convention booths for local japanese language schools and traveling to Japan. Asides from the unbearable heat, it was really nice. I hope they expand because it was really crowded, but I liked that it was one day. Sometimes events go on a whole weekend unnecessarily.. I'll probably go again next year hoping for more stuff, and to try more food as well!

I also love all your pictures, they're all very clear and you showed a lot of stuff from all around the festival! Hopefully it'll get more people to come next year!
